Wendel (aka Benny or Bennie) is one of the recurring background characters in the franchise.

He is one of Jimmy's classmates who attends Lindbergh Elementary School.

Appearance[]

  • In Calling All Aliens and the movie, Wendel wore a plain blue shirt. But in the series, his shirt became white with blue sleeves and had the number 15 on it.

Wendel tried to disturb Oleander's news broadcast. He is also one of Nick's best friends and helped to scare the children half to death when they were camping on meteorite. He aids in taking down the Yolkains and rescuing the kidnapped parents.

In Hypno-Birthday To You, Wendel attends all of Jimmy's birthdays.

In Krunch Time, Wendel is apart of his class in demanding Jimmy to give him more of his candy, which he becomes addicted to until the end of the episode.

In Journey to the Center of Carl, Wendel is apart of his class in demanding Jimmy to give him a sick patch. When new student Yentl Marmelstein is revealed to have a cold, he screams and flees in horror with the class as he doesn't want to be sick again.

In Party at Neutron's, Wendel is one of the kids to attend Jimmy's house party.

In Broadcast Blues, Wendel is one of the audiences for Lindbergh Elementary Public Access Show. He cheers at Cindy, Libby and Britney's dancing while sleeping at Jimmy's show about science.

In The Eggpire Strikes Back, Wendel got a scooter from the Yolkians and mocked Jimmy. He later helped to put Purple Flurp into Poultra's water dish and apologised to Jimmy. He danced at the celebrations near Kevin.

In Make Room for Daddy-O, Wendel tried asking Jimmy to get his dad's autograph, but Sheen pushed him away and took his autograph book.

In The Retroville 9, Wendel is apart of Butch Pakovski's baseball team. He is seen mocking Jimmy's team several times for losing. He later becomes shocked when Jimmy's team starts winning.

In Jimmy for President, Wendel can be seen in the hall with the all the students when the candidates are presenting themselves for school president, where he is shown to be supportive of Libby's campaign and sleeping during Jimmy's one. Wendel is shocked when Jimmy arrives with a Blimp but starts cheering for him. He stares at Carl with all the students when it's revealed he hasn't voted yet.

In Return of the Nanobots, Wendel was deleted by the Nanobots with the entire town. When Jimmy defeats the Nanobots, Wendel can be seen restored to reality at the end of the episode, standing near Ebenezer Wheezer and Kevin.

In Holly Jolly Jimmy, Wendel and Jimmy's class join Ms Fowl in singing about Santa Claus to Jimmy.

In Love Potion 976/J, Wendel joins the Candy Bar kids to sing along with Cindy about the perfect Valentine. When Jimmy confesses to Cindy that he loves her, Wendel is seen laughing along with everyone.

In Out, Darn Spotlight, Wendel is looking at everyone's Macbeth in Space auditions, sitting in-between Kevin and Abraham Adler. He is annoyed when Jimmy interrupts Betty's audition.

In Foul Bull, Wendel attends a class trip to watch Sagebrush Sally perform.

In Men at Work, Wendel laughs at Jimmy in a hamburger suit but is punched by Butch.

In The Science Fair Affair, Wendel cheers for Jimmy's new invention.

In Attack of the Twonkies, Wendel was skateboarding in the park with Oleander Svalsbord when Libby tricked them into signing a petition for Graystar to perform. Wendel takes one of the baby Twonkies from Carl despite Jimmy's protests. He was attacked by one of the Twonkies at the new library but Jimmy saves him. Wendel is seen dancing at Graystar's concert.

In Stranded, Wendel was used as a punch bag during Butch's bullying lessons to Ike Wilderman, Kevin and Tristan.

In The Tomorrow Boys, Wendel is one of the guests of Libby's birthday party.

In My Big Fat Spy Wedding, Wendel was one of the guests for the wedding of Jet Fusion and Beautiful Gorgeous.

In The Incredible Shrinking Town, Wendel is seen in a flashback where he laughs at Jimmy for being the shortest for the class photo. He was accidentally turned tiny with the entire town by Jimmy. Wendel was directly captured by the Space Bandits and placed in a fish tank with Ike, Amber and Emily. Jimmy later reverses the process and returns to normal size.

In Vanishing Act, Wendel is one of the audiences for Jimmy's magic show who wanted to be a volunteer, but Jimmy ultimately picks Betty.

In How to Sink a Sub, he is forced to be apart of Hugh Neutron's class after Jimmy had sent the teachers away for a week. He is one of the three students, alongside Emily and Ike Wilderman, to be shot with spit balls by Hugh and Judy after they accidentally consumed Jimmy's test tube filled with concentrated hormone.

In The League of Villains, Wendel was one of the kids trapped into endless dancing by Eustace Strych who tricked Libby into playing the music rigged by Professor Calamitous. Somehow, Wendel was able to escape this rig off-screen, but Hugh accidentally sent the entire town back in time. Jimmy later reverses the process and Wendel returned to the future off-screen.

  • In the PC game and movie, he is named Benny/Bennie. But in the TV series, he was named and credited as "Wendel" in Make Room for Daddy-O. It is likely this is a retcon, but it could be that it's simply his full name which is either Bennie Wendel or Wendel Bennie.
  • He has a fairly large role in the PC game compared to the film.
  • He is the only one of Jimmy's classmates to have an outfit change from the movie to the TV series.
  • He is mostly used as a "punch bag" throughout the series, particularly seen at the beginning of Stranded and Men at Work.
