Eddie Neutron, better known as Baby Eddie, is Jimmy's infant evil genius cousin, who looks identical to Granny Neutron as an infant. He is a 17 ½-month-old baby and Newt and Kari's son with a grown man's voice. He was voiced by Mark DeCarlo.
History[]
During Clash of the Cousins, Eddie traps Jimmy, Gomer, and Jimmy's friends and reveals his true nature, as Jimmy realizes how naïve he was because he only scanned for the adults, never guessing that an infant could be as smart as him (if not, smarter). Baby Eddie then reveals his plans to murder the whole family by placing a bomb in a cake the Neutron family will enjoy in the reunion and be rich with the Neutron's fortune and he locks Jimmy and the gang in his nursery room. However, Jimmy and Goddard race outside just in time to remove the bomb before it explodes. Jimmy and Eddie fight, but the family except for Gomer, Carl and Sheen get even more angry at Jimmy. Eddie continues his baby facade to avoid suspicion however, Jimmy reveals he rigged Eddie's rattle to explode in the struggle. Eddie throws it away before he can be harmed. Eddie then angrily yells at Jimmy for causing his rattle to explode, but inadvertently exposes his true nature by talking in front of the entire family for the first time. He realizes too late that his cover has been blown and quickly tries to talk in his baby voice, "Goo" with twinkle eyes to cover up, but the family had already seen his true intelligence. Aunt Amanda is outraged and calls Baby Eddie “A Bad Seed” and happily says that Jimmy is the good nephew. All of Jimmy's relatives cheer for him. They finally discovered the truth; Aunt Kari apologizes to Jimmy and tells her to keep Eddie on a baby leash. Baby Eddie instead of Jimmy is now punished by his mother Kari for causing trouble and then vows to get revenge on Jimmy.
He returns in The League of Villains (episode), as a member of the villains seeking revenge against Jimmy. When everyone is trying to think of ways to kill Jimmy, Eddie suggests that they should just blast him into deep space, to which everyone agrees. At the end of the episode, when all of the villains are trapped in prehistoric times, Eddie manages to scare off a T-Rex with a filthy five-day old diaper and chases him with it.
Personality[]
Eddie is mean, evil, ruthless, selfish, sadistic, and bratty. He believes he is a lot smarter than Jimmy. When there are adults around, and he talks in his normal voice, he then suddenly talks in a baby voice and says, "Goo", feigning innocence. He was plotting to do away with the entire clan so he could get Great-Aunt Amanda's inheritance. Upon being exposed, he now talks to his family instead of using a baby voice.
Despite his intelligence and adult voice, he is still as mentally immature as he is physically. He cries when he is upset, he threw a fit when Jimmy destroyed his rattle, demands his cup, and always demands a diaper change from peers and others. He always smells and has a full diaper on.
Trivia[]
- Eddie's attitude and behavior are quite similar to Stewie Griffin from Family Guy as both are evil, are a year old, and have the ability to talk and walk.
- Since he had trapped in the dinosaur times, it is most likely that he was either eaten by one of the dinosaurs or has managed to scare them off with a five-day dirty diaper.
- If his diaper were unchanged for five straight days, it would’ve resulted in serious diaper rash.
- He flirted with Beautiful Gorgeous in "The League of Villains", but she never returned the feelings.
- His model was recycled from Granny Neutron as an infant, as seen in "Granny Baby".
- The is seen on the living room TV in the Dreamworks animated movie The Boss Baby.
- Eddie and Evil Jimmy are the only villains to be related to any of the main characters.
