Synopsis[]

Jimmy places a funny chip into Hugh's new Flippy puppet when he insists on using it for Career Day at school. But Jimmy soon learns that Flippy is using the chip to drain his dad's mind so he can become a real human and has to save him before Flippy disposes of him. Sheen tries to remove Flippy from Hugh's hand but fails. Jimmy uses his watch to magnetize Hugh's wristwatch to the trash receptacles, which successfully gets Hugh free of Flippy. Unfortunately, Flippy has sucked enough of Hugh's brain to become a fully functional walking doll. He steals a ray gun and blasts Jimmy while he goes and grabs Hugh's body. He then carjacks Hugh's automobile and drives it to the woods outside of the city, where he drags Hugh toward the edge of a cliff. Jimmy remembers his mom telling him that she asked Hugh to get a new hobby, since he was too obsessed with ducks. As a flock of quaking ducks fly overhead, Jimmy draws Flippy's attention to it. Flippy gets distracted and chases after the ducks. Jimmy then overpowers Flippy and saves his dad. Later on, at the Neutron's house, Jimmy catches his parents up about the recent events. Then the camera pans to Flippy's head lying in basket of firewood. Suddenly his eyes open up.

Trivia[]

  • The episode Who Framed Jimmy Neutron?/Flippy premiered in the U.S. as the fifth and final episode of the "5 New Jimmys"-marathon event in January 2006.[1]
  • Flippy opened a garage sale to sell all of Jimmy's stuff. He sold Jimmy's telescope to Cindy for a dime. Jimmy's Chrono Arch was also on sale. He probably bought it back, since it can be seen again in later episodes.
  • Hugh first bought Flippy during the episode "Attack of the Twonkies", when he was asked by Judy to buy groceries. This Flippy was destroyed in order to send the Twonkies back to Twonkus-3.
  • This is the second time Goddard only appears in one shot. The first was Operation: Rescue Jet Fusion. The third will be "How to Sink a Sub".
  • The episode is a pseudo-parody of the horror novel Magic, written by the late William Goldman, who also wrote the 1978 film adaptation. However, Flippy's behavior and blood lust is similar to that of Chucky from the Child's Play horror franchise.
  • Twonkies can be seen at the yard sale and when Flippy is driving Hugh out of town.
  • This is the second time Libby only appears in one shot. The first was "Maximum Hugh".
  • Although this episode was released in 2006, you can actually see "Copyright 2003 Viacom International, Inc." at the end of the credits. This means that the episode was produced in 2003.
  • This episode is a parody of the Night of the Living Dummy saga from Goosebumps
